Awards & Scholarship Portfolio
Completing an Awards Portfolio will allow you to compete for national awards trips and scholarships. The process will improve your skills of marketing yourself. You will complete an application, create a resume, write a narrative about yourself, and submit the information as a packet to be eligible for an interview. You can also take advantage of two publications to help you complete the system: What Are My Skills and Marketing You. Your county 4-H agent is your most valuable resource to make sure you are prepared to submit the best portfolio you can. You can also view the Portfolio Power Point to help walk you through the process.
Completing Your Application
There are two options for completing the application online. The first option is through Adobe Acrobat Reader. These are fill able forms that can be completed and printed. Please note that you can not save this version unless you purchase the full version of Adobe Acrobat Reader. With the downloadable version you will have to complete the entire application and print the forms before you exit the program. The second option is using Microsoft Word forms. With this option you can add information to your form and save it on any computer that has the Microsoft Word program.
