Florida 4-H Publications

County Extension Offices provide a variety of 4-H publications to support 4-H programs. Types of materials available to support programs include:

• Member "Project Books"

  These are the youth manuals or workbooks that direct youth through a subject matter topic at their own pace.

• Volunteer Project Leader/Helper Guides

  These companion materials to the Member "Project Books" are developed to support the youth, individually or in groups, with their project learning experiences.

• Recordbooks

  These manuals are used the teach youth accurate recording and tracking of their project experiences and their accomplishments. They allow youth to track their progress and provide evidence of project completion.

  Recordbooks may be a separate companion booklet to the Project Book or incorporated into the Project Book itself.

• Supplemental Materials

  A variety of other educational materials are available to support youth education through the 4-H program. These include:

  • videos
  • brochures
  • skill-a-thon kits
• General 4-H Volunteer Materials

  A variety of leader support materials are provided to help volunteers.

• 4-H Club Materials

  A variety of support materials are available from your local county office to support organizing 4-H Clubs. Many of these materials may be county specific.
