Display Opportunities

If you are interested in putting up a display inside the New Capitol building on the plaza level, please contact Lynnelle Mays at lclok@ufl.edu. Please let us know if you will need tables, chairs, electricity, etc. Display times will be 8am - 3pm.

4-H'ers from around the state will again converge around the Capitol to learn more about their government, visit historic landmarks and meet with their legislators on March 12, 2008.

We are encouraging all 4-H'ers, volunteers and leaders to attend so that they can learn more about the government and their role in it. It is especially important this year, being that it is an election year!

In the past, 4-H has been recognized on the floors of the House and Senate as well as having the day be proclaimed 4-H day! There will be opportunities to tour historic sites including the New State Capitol, Florida Supreme Court, Old State Capitol, Museum of Florida History and Museum of Black Archives.  At the Florida Supreme Court, 4-H’ers can participate in mock oral arguments, gaining insight into the U.S. judicial system.
