Shirley Bond

A 4-H’er for 11 years and a program assistant in college, Shirley Bond began her professional career in 1967. She developed fun, educational state and national curriculum that successfully impacted thousands of young people.

Shirley developed innovative 4-H programs including a mobile classroom used for inner city 4-H programs. She’s also active with her church, a block captain for her neighborhood watch, on the community school advisory committee and the Great American Teach-in.

Shirley said, “Through 4-H, she learned at an early age to accept responsibility, make group decisions, and to cooperate with people of all ages, races and backgrounds. For her 45 years of support and commitment to 4-H, Shirley Bond has earned a place in the 2003 Class of the Florida 4-H Hall of Fame.
