Joe Busby

Joe N. Busby, Dean Emeritus, supported the 4-H program at local, state and national levels. He created an organizational structure that was essential to the growth and success of the Florida 4-H Program. 

As he progressed from assistant 4-H agent to statewide Florida Cooperative Extension Service director he was selected for the National Sea Grant Advisory Panel.

Busby is a member of the Extension Committee on Organization and Policy Legislature sub-committee, which charts policy for the Cooperative Extension Service at a national level. He is a director and past-president of the Florida 4-H Foundation. J

oe served his country and rose to the rank of Lt. Colonel in the United States Air Force. He received the “Oak Leaf Cluster” and the “Distinguished Flying Cross.” He is a member of Gamma Sigma Delta. Alpha Zeta, the Horticultural Society and the Florida Academy of Science.
