Mary Faith Urquhart

A Pinellas County 4-H leader for 29 years, Mary Faith Urquhart led her club with project books, demonstrations and camping while consistently setting the standard for leadership by serving as a role model for responsibility, intelligence and community service.

Beyond her Seminole Rider’s 4-H Club, Mary taught at Horsemanship School for more than ten years, volunteered and chaired Area E horse show committees and always works hard to provide a positive experience for 4-H’ers.

For 20 years, her most valuable contribution, the development of the Horses for Handicapped program, offered therapeutic rides to 25 to 40 participants with disabilities. Her club also works with the Special Olympics by providing specially trained horses to carry the participants around the track. Congratulations to Mary Faith Urquhart.
