Ms. Karen Kirkendall

 

Karen has given 30 years of energy and dedication to 4-H as a parent volunteer, club co-leader and leader.  She has used knowledge gained at many Florida 4-H Leader Forums and Southern Region Leader Forums and applied it at local and state leadership levels.  She has served as president of the Florida 4-H Volunteer Association and has won the State 4-H Volunteer of the Year award.  Karen is a long time member of 4-H Advisory and Osceola County 4-H Foundation committees.  As chairperson of the fair youth exhibits committee, she works for all 4-H youth by overseeing exhibit areas at the Osceola County Fair.


Highlights of Karen’s 4-H career include: 4-H Volunteer of the year for Osceola County—twice!, State 4-H Volunteer of the Year. 4H Sage Award from the State 4-H Volunteer Association, Attended the State Volunteer Forum for the past 30+ years, Past-President of the 4-H Florida Volunteer Association.


Karen is the mother of 3 adult children & 4 grandchildren and makes time to be active in 4-H and her community.
