Citizenship Washington Focus

Chevy Chase, MD
National 4-H Youth Conference Center

Citizenship Washington Focus is a 4-H leadership program for high school youth. Delegations  from across the country attend this 6 day program at the National 4-H Youth Conference Center, located just outside Washington, D.C.  The program is aimed at enriching young people’s lives by broadening their appreciation and respect for themselves and others in the world.  Participants attend workshops, committees, field trips and social events, giving them hands-on opportunities to learn and grow.  Participants learn and practice skills that will make them better citizens and more successful individuals.

Eligible Participants

CWF is open to all Florida 4-H members 14 to 19 years old as of September 1st of the current 4-H year.

Registration will be organized by county, not by 4-H State Headquarters.  Florida counties will register their delegates directly with the National Youth Conference Center. To learn more and register your delegation, visit the CWF Website

Promotional Materials

Earlier this summer, CWF staff followed around delegations from Nebraska, North Dakota, Standing Rock Sioux Reservation, and Tennessee to see how 4-H’ers, coordinators and U.S. Senators could help tell the story of CWF. Watch this video and see how youth are impacted by their experience at CWF…

What else did youth experience during CWF? Visit the official blog for Citizenship Washington Focus which launched earlier this summer.
