National 4-H Youth Conference Center
Citizenship Washington Focus is a 4-H leadership program for high school youth. Delegations from across the country attend this 6 day program at the National 4-H Youth Conference Center, located just outside Washington, D.C. The program is aimed at enriching young people’s lives by broadening their appreciation and respect for themselves and others in the world. Participants attend workshops, committees, field trips and social events, giving them hands-on opportunities to learn and grow. Participants learn and practice skills that will make them better citizens and more successful individuals.
CWF is open to all Florida 4-H members 14 to 19 years old as of September 1, 2015.
A $250 non-refundable deposit & registration form are required to hold your space. All spaces for 2016 have been filled.
Checks are made payable to the Florida 4-H Foundation. Check and registration form are due to the State Events Office, with “CWF Payment for Participant Name” in the memo. Participant name must be included in order for your check to be properly processed.
The standard registration package for CWF is $1,000 per person, plus tax. Delegates and/or counties will be responsible for all costs. The remaining $750 will be due by May 1, 2016. This price does NOT include transportation to D.C. or incidentals while there. 4-H tentatively will fly to and from Washington, D.C., and a bus will be provided during the week of CWF. Transportation costs are estimated to be between $200 and $350 per participant.

Earlier this summer, CWF staff followed around delegations from Nebraska, North Dakota, Standing Rock Sioux Reservation, and Tennessee to see how 4-H’ers, coordinators and U.S. Senators could help tell the story of CWF. Watch this video and see how youth are impacted by their experience at CWF…
