Shooting Sports

Shooting Sports includes Air Rifle, Small Bore Rifle, Archery, Shotgun, Muzzleloading and Hunting disciplines. At the state level both archerycompetition and camps are available to participate in this activity. There are a number of state level matches that are open to 4-H participants who are in a county shooting sports club/program led by a discipline Certified 4-H Shooting Sports Leader/Volunteer. Upcoming Trainings

Level 1 Shooting Sports Training- Archery and Shotgun Disciplines

  • When: Saturday, September 8, 2018  (8:00 AM- 7:00 PM)
  • Where: Wakulla County Sherriff’s Office Shooting Range- 65 Qualify Lane, Sopchoppy, FL
  • Who: Adult Instructors (Must be 21 years old to receive certification to train youth) & Youth Assistant Instructors (Must be 14 as of Sept 1, 2017 and be accompanied by an adult instructor from their county)
  • How Much: $75, includes printed materials, range fees, snacks, drinks, lunch and dinner
  • Registration: Registration will open in 4honline on Friday, July 13th and will close on August 17th
  • Disciplines: Shotgun, Archery
  • PLEASE NOTE:
    • All volunteers must have an active profile in 4honline to register for the training
    • 4-H agents must approve registration on the county level
    • Part one (the traditional classroom session material) will be completed through the online training modules in 4honline
    • Once registration is approved by you, volunteers will be given access to the online training modules
