Community Development and Service Learning Projects
In the 4-H Community Development and Service Learning projects, you will learn:
- how to assume leadership roles by teaching and helping others;
- how to engage in civic governance and community decision-making;
- how to effectively communicate with others; and
- skills such as decision-making, getting along with others, planning and organizing, and responsibility.

SERVICE LEARNING (For Youth Ages 11-18)
This series gives you ideas for community involvement by suggesting a variety of topics and providing you with instructions on how to promote a project using flyers, petitions, press releases, and more. This guide is a good resource for ideas of community service projects and how to get started.

Level 1 (Ages 8-10)

Level 2 (Ages 11-13)
- Agents of Change teaches 4-Hers to become "Special OPPortunities Agents," as they follow a series of exciting activities that engage youth in their community and allow them to reflect on their experiences. Available through National 4-H Council.
Level 3 (Ages 14-18)
- Raise Your Voice teaches 4-Hers about service learning as an empowering learning vehicle for young leaders. Voices of real young people engaged in service inspire and enable youth to identify with others. Available through National 4-H Council.
