Consumer Education Project
In the 4-H Consumer Education project, you will learn:
- how to process information to make the best economical choices for a given situation;
- how to comparison shop by price, product quality, or store/manufacture;
- how to use skills or improved practices related to financial literacy and money management;
- the rights and responsibilities of consumers;
- how to effectively communicate with others;
- skills such as decision-making, getting along with others, planning and organizing, and responsibility.

CONSUMER EDUCATION - Level 1 (Ages 8-10)
- The Consumer in Me teaches 4-Hers what it means to be a consumer through saving, spending, and sharing. Available through National 4-H Council.
- Florida 4-H Consumer Choices Study Guide (Juniors) are companions to any of the consumer projects for county and area consumer choices contests. CONSUMER EDUCATION - Level 2 (Ages 11-13)
- Consumer Wise teaches 4-Hers about the influence of peer pressure, the power of advertising, and the use of web sites for marketing as they learn to make independent shopping decisions. Available through National 4-H Council.
- Florida 4-H Consumer Choices Study Guides (Intermediates)are companions to any of the consumer projects for county and area consumer choices contests. CONSUMER EDUCATION - Level 3 (Ages 14-18)
- Consumer Roadmap lets 4-Hers further explore the potholes of the marketplace as they work towards becoming savvy consumers. Available through National 4-H Council.

Consumer Choices Record Book (All Levels)
For recognition and completion of Consumer Choices, as a project, not just a competitive activity for other projects, you will need to complete this Project Record Book of activities to submit with your 4-H Project Summary Report Forms. [County Ordering Info]

CE H-A Consumer Savvy Project Series
This Helper's Guide will help you support youth in his or her efforts to set goals and complete activities, as well as providing resources for the member's to use in completing the series. Available through National 4-H Council.
CE H-B Consumer Choices Leader's Guide
