Energy Links (For Youth Ages 8-10)
Energy Links uses stories, follow-up questions, and hands-on experiments to demonstrate the presence of and uses of energy. Starting from the days of mastodons and tribal communities up to the present era of technology, this innovative curriculum encourages youth to learn about and compare energy uses of the past to modern day uses. Some fun activities that youth will enjoy are learning how to build a turbine, generate electricity and make a burglar alarm. The stories about different cultures all have a current theme - energy. Using science, math, history, geography and language arts, Energy Links presents in-depth, comprehensive learning opportunities for youth. Produced by North Carolina State 4-H.
