Re: New Listserv for 4-H Blue Ribbon Reporting Program
Florida 4-H has set up a listserv for subscribers to exchange information
about the Martech Blue Ribbon Reporting Program, which is used in all of our units to
produce the ES-237 Annual Youth Extension Enrollment Report. The list is open to all who
are interested in the way Florida uses this reporting program. Every email
sent to the list address
4HBR-L@lists.ifas.ufl.edu
(formerly 4hbr@ifas.ufl.edu)
is re-sent to all who are subscribed to the list.
To receive announcements about Florida 4-H Reporting, and to submit your own questions and feedback, you must subscribe your email address to the list. (See instructions below).
It is important that the those who are responsible for getting your unit's 4-H data into the Youth Enrollment Program keep up to date with any changes in the program and how Florida implements it. It is highly recommended that the 4-H Program Leader and any persons doing data entry subscribe themselves to the 4HBR-L listserv to receive timely news about Florida's use of the Youth Enrollment program. With your name, please include your job function and county on the same line. ex Jean Smith, secr, Alachua Co.
All detailed instructions and deadlines are found in the Reporting section of the Florida 4-H website: https://4h.ifas.ufl.edu/4hbr/ Always press your Refresh button (F5 in IE) to be sure you are viewing the latest version of the webpage. It is a good idea to add this website to your Favorites (or Bookmarks) in your browser and to check there often..
The listserv address is now 4HBR-L@Lists.ifas.ufl.edu and all member emails that were subscribed to the old list have been subscribed to the new email list. If your email address changes, you need to subscribe your new email address to the list. Many people changed from GNV.ifas.ufl.edu to MAIL.ifas.ufl.edu email addresses in 2002. The GNV accounts no longer forward email, your MAIL.ifas.ufl.edu address was substituted on this list.
If you wish to be able to post messages and read them in the archive but not receive them in your email, use the Internet management tools and mark Mail delivery disabled temporarily [NOMAIL] under the Miscellaneous section.
The new listserv allows you to subscribe or remove an email account, post new messages, read archives, or manage your listserv account settings from your web browser (ex. Internet Explorer or Netscape) at http://lists.ifas.ufl.edu/archives/4hbr-l.html
Login is required to read the messages or post to the list from your web browser. The listserv username and password allows you manage all your listserv accounts, but it is separate from your email account password.
The function you have requested requires authentication. Please enter your e-mail address and your LISTSERV password (not the password you use to login to your computer or read your mail), and click on the "Login" button. If this is the first time you see this dialog, or if you have forgotten your password, you will need to get a new LISTSERV password first.

To get on the 4HBR-L listserv, send an
email message to the following Subscribe/Unsubscribe address:
To subscribe put the following on
the first line in the body of your message (subject may be blank):

ex.

You will receive an email acknowledgement "Your request to join the 4HBR-L list has been forwarded to the list owner for approval." Nancy Johnson will review your request and you should receive a "Welcome to the 4HBR-L" message within 1 business day. Once you have received the Welcome message, you will be able to post to the list.
If you want to get off the list in
the future you would follow the same procedure and send the following message on the first line of the body of your
message (subject may be blank):
