Club Activity Leader
Purpose
Provide leadership, guidance and direction to club members in planning, carrying out and evaluating this activity in your club.
Length of Appointment
Varies with the activity and as agreed upon by the club organizational leader.
Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, conduct and evaluate this activity with club members.
- Assist club members in coordinating logistical arrangements for the activity (i.e., facility; date, time, cost, resource people; chaperones; and the recruitment of other parents for assistance).
- Develop youth leadership skills by involving members on a steering committee. Supervise and coordinate their work.
- Help promote this activity in the club and the community.
- Organize and teach educational activities in this topic.
- Attend leader training meetings and workshops, a minimum of one per year.
- Be sensitive to risks and use risk management strategies in carrying out this activity.
- Maintain sensitivity to the individual differences of 4-H members such as differences in interests, abilities, personal needs, cultural heritage, and family support.
- Submit required reports in a timely manner. Follow 4-H policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Ability to communicate with youth.
- Ability to supervise a group of young people.
- Belief in the educational value of the activity.
- Ability to plan, conduct and evaluate the activity using resources of the Cooperative Extension Service and the University of Florida.
- Belief in the importance of youth development and the need to provide young people with out of school learning opportunities. A belief in the 4-H Program.

- Orientation, training and support from County 4-H Staff.
- Supplies and equipment.
- Assistance from other volunteers. Opportunity to attend the Florida 4-H Adult Leader Forum

Members will set goals and work to achieve their goals. Members will plan, conduct and evaluate this activity.
