The National 4-H Salute to Excellence Volunteer Recognition Award recognizes 4-H volunteers who demonstrate exemplary service to 4-H, while promoting service through volunteerism as both an opportunity and a privilege.  In 2009, National 4-H will select 8 regional honorees for both Outstanding Lifetime Volunteer and Volunteer of the Year.  Regional awardees will each receive $200 to be donated to any 4-H program of their choice. These regional winners will go on to compete for the national award, which will receive $1,000 to donate.   

Only 1 volunteer, in each category, may be submitted on the county level for nomination. Please see the document below for further Selection Criteria, Application Guidelines and Award Information.
